Agent orange still stalks Vietnam

Fifty years ago, US airforce decided to spray herbicides upon the lands and rivers of Center and South Vietnam. 50 millions of liters were poured, to destroy forests and farmlands. But these chemical products, including Agent Orange, contained dioxine: a deadly poison that still contaminates soils and water in Vietnam. Today, between 200 000 and 300 000 children suffer from it. After prenatal exposure to the product, they grow up with heavy congenital handicaps. Here is the first pictures taken during a trip in Danang and Ho Chi Minh city. In these schools and hospitals, people offer love and attention to these young and innocent war victims. Thanks a lot to the staff and kids who welcomed me. You can see (much) more here.
